About A Dog was formed in 2018 through a passion to help dogs and animals in need of help by volunteers in both Puerto Vallarta and Vancouver. We have 40 -60 dogs in our care at any time and open our own homes to care for them. Many of our dogs travel to Vancouver to adopt thier forever families, many are adopted in Puerto Vallarta and many stay in our care forever. Our goal is to rescue all animals we can, to give them the lives they deserve

How your donations are used
Every dog is provided any care needed, all vaccinations and medications, sterilization but also surgeries, physiotherapy. Each rescue has their specific needs and we ensure they get everything required.
Food is a great expense for so many dogs, we do our best to give quality food but also meet dietary needs of dogs when required. Kibble is a main source of food but we also work with local merchants who can provide discounted food for home cooked meal which provide more nutrients.
Housing 40-60 dogs at a time is a challenge, we open our homes as we want them to have a family experience after rescue, but we often rent houses to home the dogs due to how many we have.
housing, supplies like beds, leashes, collars, dog crates, also training when needed are a constant source of costs we incur.
